Slovenia: Ljubljana — the capital city   Leave a comment

Ljubljana is a beautiful city — mostly reconstructed in the very late 1800’s due to a major earthquake. The architecture has a few strong influences — traditional Viennese from the Hapsburg era, the Vienna Secessionist Movement, and a Slovenian architect named Joze Plecnik. Ljubljana also offered beautiful lace, good wine and great chocolate!
